In the small crofting township of Treaslane,
9 miles from Portree sits Culnacreag gaelic for behind the rock. Culnacreag Bed and Breakfast is run by Neil and Mary on the family croft.
The house sits in an elevated position with uninterrupted views over Loch Snizort Beag with the Trotternish hills beyond. The views offer the chance to watch seals, otters and many different types of birds including eagles, cormorants, ducks and oyster catchers.

Rooms
Room 1 This is the larger of the two rooms and has a super king size bed. The ensuite is also a good size with large bath and walk-in shower. This room can also be set up as a twin room if preferred.
£100.00 per night including breakfast.
Room 2 This room is slightly smaller than Room 1 and has a king size Bed. The ensuite room has a shower and is a good size.
£90.00 per night including breakfast.
Both rooms are tastefully decorated with floor to ceiling windows and doors to allow full views and easy access. They are equipped with television, tea and coffee making facilities including a Nespresso machine, hairdryer and toiletries. Free WIFI available throughout.
We can cater for most dietary requirements, but please let us know at time of booking.
Directions
Culnacreag is situated in the small village of Treaslane, 9 miles from Portree, a few hundred yards from the A850, the main Portree to Dunvegan Road.
Important Note for Sat-Nav Users
If you are coming from Fort William, you may want to set your route via Kyle of Lochalsh so as to avoid the Mallaig Ferry.
From Portree:
- Take the A87 to Uig/Dunvegan.
- After approx. 4 miles take the left fork signposted Dunvegan A850.
- Continue on that road for about four miles, past Skeabost and Bernisdale, Treaslane is the next village.
- Turn right at the Treaslane sign (near the top of the hill). There is a bus shelter at the corner.
- Turn down into that road. Culnacreag is the first house you come to (approx. 150 yards).
